Here is our stretch from Gatlinburg to Standing Bear (mile 207.3 – 241.1). We finish the Smoky Mountains with snow, and way more than expected! At first we wanted to hike fast to avoid it, but Easy tore his shoe and we spent an afternoon sewing it up to get 70 more miles to Hot Springs, and decided to take the rest of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park slow and enjoy (yes, enjoy!) the snow. ...
