The conversation usually goes something like this…
“Hey David! What have you been up to?”
Me- “Oh, you know, just planning to go hike the Appalachian trail this spring.”
“Wow, that’s pretty cool, what part are you going to hike?”
Me- “…The entire thing… All 2189 miles of it…”
“Wait, you’re doing what?!”
