When They Name the Wilderness: A Briefing on Toponyms

When I was writing a guidebook to the 240-mile Trans Adirondack Route, Blue Line to Blue Line, I shamefully tried to produce a book that guided hikers along this route while discussing Adirondack place name history.  That first draft of Blue Line to Blue Line ended up being good at neither.
