The plan was to make it to Gooch Mountain Shelter, but plans are meant to be changed.
It was a very wet night and I’m so glad I was in the Hawk Mountain Shelter. But the rain was forecasted for all day. It rained sideways and uphill on stuggling climbs today.
Equipment highlight
The Umbrella! It held up great except for the high winds on Sassafrass Mountain. Easily 50mph wind gusts, but I know some reached uo to 70mph. ...
