Right from the start of the approach trail there’s a massive set of stairs up Amichilola Falls, just to test if you’re really willing to commit to what you’re about to do. From there, I didn’t find the terrain much of a challenge and ended up making Springer mountain at 1330, the site of the first of many snickers stops. To end that day, I made camp at 1630 and was done eating and ready for bed at 1745. ...
