Day 37, 4/3: Ash gap campsite -Overmountain shelter (9.2 miles)
It was hard to sleep because the moon was so bright through my tent. The wind gusts were so strong I felt like my tent was going to get carried away. Cuben fiber tents have a lot of great qualities, but quietness in the wind is not one of them. The gusts were so powerful that the middle of my tent started sagging slightly, and my tent stakes were starting to pull out of the ground. ...
