We are Parker Michels-Boyce and Chet Strange, two photographers based in Virginia. When the bubble was passing through the Blue Ridge Mountains this summer, we set up a photo booth and trail angel station to make portraits of thru-hikers. We had a blast hanging out at Cold Mountain Wayside–cooking hot dogs, drinking beers and swapping stories.
