It has now been two months since I completed the southern half of the AT. Climbing Springer Mt.with my daughter and two granddaughters will always rank high as one of my most cherished memories.
I write this from the comfort of home, with this year’s ten weeks (600 miles) of backpacking behind me and plans for completing the northern half of the trail ahead of me. Thinking back on this year’s experiences, I was surprised how exhausted I suddenly became during my final week on the trail. ...
