New Jersey: beautiful. After days of hiking over rough patches of rocky trail with scarce water and few views, New Jersey is a relief. Many times the trail climbs up to scenic rocky ridgelines. Open rock ridge with golden meadow grass waving in the wind, bright green grass and views down to blue lakes, rivers and pastureland. I’ve also walked down by several ponds already, including Sunfish Pond, covered in lily pads with a scenic rocky path along the bank. ...
