First played in 2013, the Turkish Airlines Open is the penultimate event of the European Tour Final Series.
The event is played at the Montgomerie Maxx Royal course in belek, Antalya.
The field is comprised of the top 60 in the Official World Golf Ranking three weeks before the event, four tournament invitations, three Turkish players invited by the Turkish Golf Federation and the remainder from from the 2014 Race to Dubai to make up a field of 78.
The top 60 at the end of the event continue to the season ending DP World Championship in Dubai.
The inaugural winner of the Turkish Airlines Open was Victor Dubuisson of France.
The first two years of the Turkish Airlines Open, it was followed by the finals of the Race To Dubai.
