Day 1

This is unbelievably surreal. All of it. 
Daddy and I got up early this morning to drive me to the trailhead and get there early enough to beat some of the heat hiking today. The monument was pretty cool, but I was so flustered I totally forgot to sign the register 🙁 oh well I’ll get the next one. We said our goodbyes  (this was the most difficult thing ever) then I was off! 
Dad took pictures of me at the monument so I don’t have them yet. ...
